About
A new way to experience Torah:
Play it.

I'm Dan Berry — a South Florida-based composer and pianist with a degree in music theory and composition from Princeton and eighteen years deep in Torah and Hebrew. Those two things sat side by side in me for a long time without touching.
One night on a ship I started pulling my own name apart. Letter by letter, each one into its components. It told me a story about myself I hadn't heard before.
That's where the Alephonic Mapping Method™ comes from — my own system, built from the ground up. Every Hebrew letter is a character with its own personality and its own job in creation. Put letters together and you don't get a label, you get a story — characters in a room, doing something to each other. The method turns that story into musical material, the same way every time. Then I sit down and play it.
I'm not a rabbi here to teach you Torah. I make the musical space, you get to play in it, and we all get to see where it goes.
